We really like Fällkniven knives, but the plastic sheaths they come with are another matter. In addition to being almost criminally ugly, they are noisy and the nubbin holding the knife in the sheath tends to shear off with use. 

The Vegvisir kydex sheath is much, much better. The sheath holds the knife firmly without a need for any extra straps but still allows for a fast draw and easy insertion of the knife. The sheath is pretty much imprevious to the elements and due to its rigid structure, it is impossible for the blade to cut through the sheath. 

The sheath features a rubber belt loop, which can easily be removed and replaced with a Blade Tech Molle-Lok to make the sheath MOLLE compatible. The kydex loop at the edge of the sheath is meant for a Swedish Fire Steel or equivalent and is also detachable. 

If you attach / detach parts from the sheath, we recommend the use of Blue Locktite or the equivalent to ensure the hardware doesn't come unscrewed during use.
